#Repost @leguidedipatty ・・・ SPARTACO VELA ( #Repost @leguidedipatty ・・・ SPARTACO VELA (1854-1895) 🖌️ Una mostra che celebra l’unico figlio del noto scultore Vincenzo Vela e che invita a riscoprire questo artista attivo tra Svizzera e Italia. 🖌️ I soggetti si rifanno ai grandi filoni propri della scuola lombarda del secondo Ottocento: pittura di storia, ritratto e paesaggio. 🖌️ Nato a Torino, si trasferirà in seguito a Ligornetto, nella nuova dimora che diventerà il Museo Vela grazie al suo lascito testamentario. Frequenta l’Accademia di Brera dove si dedica soprattutto al disegno e alla pittura. 🖌️ Rispa. Opera magnifica in mostra. La tela raffigura un episodio biblico: per pareggiare un debito di sangue, 7 figli di Saul dovettero essere sacrificati a Dio; 2 di questi erano figli di Rispa, concubina di Saul. Dopo la loro impiccagione, vegliò a lungo sui loro corpi affinché non venissero mangiati dagli animali selvatici. (Foto 3) 🖌️ Negli anni ‘80 dell’800 sviluppa un filone specifico dedicato allo studio della figura femminile, dalla vita quotidiana borghese in città, alla villeggiatura ma anche alla tradizione contadina e alla moda dell’orientalismo. Si allontana anche dai temi storico letterari per volgere il proprio sguardo al mondo del lavoro con immagini osservate dal vero raffiguranti spazzacamini, lavandaie e cucitrici. Her personal collection included works by artists who she had supported and followed and often befriended. She was one of the first supporters of the construction of the new MCBA and not only contributed financially but also the impressive sculpture by Giuseppe Penone that stands in the atrium was her donation too. When she died she left her collection to the museum as well. Das Museum "Le Grand Lens" wurde 1992 zum ersten Mal eröffnet, danach gab es, um 2013, eine Neueröffnung mit neuer Inszenierung. Es befindet sich in einem traditionellen Wohnhaus aus 1889. Das Museum ist Zeuge der verschwundenen Zeit einer ganzen Region. Aussagen von Zeitzeugen machen die Schuster- und andere Werkstätten lebendig.
