From K-pop costumes or famous dance choreographies to unforgettable movie props, music video clips, beauty trends and fashion - Hallyu! The Korean Wave is a dazzling kaleidoscope of South Korean art and cultural history. Works by media art pioneer Nam June Paik, a recreated set from the Oscar-winning film Parasite, the Google Art Dance Room, where visitors can learn and dance along to K-pop moves under the guidance of well-known choreographers, and contemporary interpretations of the iconic hanbok garment are just some of the highlights that will delight visitors to the exhibition.
Following major public successes at the Victoria and Albert Museum London, the Museum of Fine Arts Boston and the Asian Art Museum San Francisco, Museum Rietberg is the only venue in Europe to present this spectacular exhibition conceived by the Victoria and Albert Museum.
